iRobot is seeking a bright and energetic student to join their Electrical Engineering team. As an iRobot intern, you will work both independently and with other interns to directly support the engineering staff, on tasks ranging from data collection to design projects. We're looking for a talented, motivated and highly experienced Senior or Principal Electrical Engineer to join our Electrical Engineering Department in performing EMI, EMC, ESD and Radio Pre-compliance testing and in diagnosing/mitigating any issues encountered. This ensures that all products will pass first-time when sent out for formal qualification testing. Pre-compliance testing is performed on robotic systems across all of iRobot product lines.
You must have extensive knowledge and experience in electrical circuit design with emphasis on parasitic behavior. In addition, you must be very familiar with common compliance test standards and test methods. If successful, you become part of a small group of highly experienced EE’s working together to test, diagnose and provide solutions to product design teams in order to achieve EMI, EMC, ESD and Radio compliance. This position requires superior communication and inter-personal skills.
As the Principal Quality Engineer, supports major NPI programs either directly, or through Senior Leads, of product platforms from cradle to grave within iRobot, working across competencies and providing quality expertise and leadership. We're looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer focused on engineering directly with the China operations and manufacturing teams and US based engineering teams. You have expertise in high-volume consumer electronics, plastics design, engineering analysis, and global manufacturing. You will be responsible for supporting existing consumer robotic platforms in platform advancement, root cause evaluation and product improvements.
iRobot is seeking a Senior Principal Systems Engineer with experience in product development and sustainment of complex systems to work in our "iPro Sustaining Group".
As a Systems Engineer on a consumer robot development team, you will work with team leadership to ensure that the integrated performance of the product meets or exceeds the needs and expectation of the customer. An essential part of your role is to lead a cross functional team in subsystem debugging, refining, testing and help in redesigning our products when needed.

As a part of our team, you will work under guidance of the Core Test Manager, Lead Test Engineer or Program Manager to plan, design, develop and support automation fixtures and software that will be used to automate and streamline both repetitive and custom tests. You will be responsible for identifying best cost/performance platforms and technologies, interface with suppliers and deliver the final product to the team that will be using it, as well as providing continuous support for the existing fixtures. You will be working with project teams to identify needs. You should possess sufficient technical depth to support troubleshooting of complex cross functional problems and document findings. Also, you will develop and maintain software architecture for the core tests functionality.
