    iRobot seeks a Senior Program Analyst. This individual will work closely with Program Managers as their main interface to Finance and Human Resources to track program budgets and staff, product development progress, and streamline the end to end program management process.


    This position offers the opportunity to manage and lead specific cross-functional projects across this

    growing organization, such as the development and roll out of new program management tools, resource

    tracking and prioritization tools, infrastructure development, and capabilities development.


    Excellent communication and a strongly collaborative orientation are critical to the success of this position, as

    the analyst will regularly work cross-functionally with Program Managers, Engineering, Finance, Human

    Resources, IT and other employees. Strong analytical and organizational skills and attention to detail are required to ensure the accuracy of data, conduct a wide variety of reports and analyses, and recommend courses of action based on a thorough review and understanding of available information. A business sense and comfort with financial data are essential for conducting the right analyses to shape decisions.

    Essential Functions/ Job Duties

    The key areas of focus for this role are: 

    • Analysis and support around short term and long-term financial program planning both for labor and non-labor

    component through:

    • Managing input and tracking of commitments relative to annual program and department budgets.
    • Working closely with program managers in developing quarterly forecasts and reconciling actual spend rates with yearly budgets.
    • Preparing core documents for monthly and quarterly financial management decision-making, including for senior management.
    • Preparing bi-weekly program resource and timeline reports.
    • Proactively identifying budgetary and operational challenges and supporting cross-functional resolution of these.
    • Developing and refining long term program cost projections.
    • Maintaining core program documents, including timelines and work plans.
    • Development and deployment of program efficiency metrics
    • Improved visibility to engineering resource allocation
    • Continuous improvement to visibility of programs: priorities, progress, bottlenecks across programs, and visibility to overall team’s output.
    • Facilitation of core program business decisions through leveraging of internal and external data to model specific program decisions
    • Support program-related business development analysis
    • Create process documentation – templates, tools, process maps, graphical representations, etc.
    • Lead ongoing training sessions on focused topics
    • Maintain Calendar of for key milestones in all current programs across iRobot Support Program Managers


    • BS is required. MBA is desirable.
    • 5+ years of work experience with financial budgeting and forecasting for multiple concurrent programs.
    • Knowledge of end to end software and hardware development process and life cycle.
    • Strong interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to work well in a collaborative and dynamic team environment.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to combine attention to detail with big picture perspective.
    • Excellent written and oral communication, including presentation and facilitation skills.
