    Our Linux Engineering Team is expanding and we're looking for an exceptional Software Engineer to join our team. We're looking for someone with great interpersonal skills, passion, energy, and the desire to build.

    Essential Functions/ Job Duties

    • Design, implement, and test embedded software for use in a variety of robot platforms
    • Perform code reviews and improve the code quality
    • Actively participate in daily or weekly team meetings
    • Perform development boards bring-ups and hardware debugging
    • Excellent communication skills.  Able to explain and champion your work
    • Track record of performing at a high level, 
    • Will deliver robust solutions on schedule
    • Proactive, self-directing, and good at estimating own work
    • Capable of solving complex tasks in creative and effective ways

    Qualifications

    • At least a BS in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent
    • At least 8 years of experience with embedded Linux, OpenEmbedded preferred
    • Proficiency in Linux internals, device driver development, debugging, and validation
    • Experience in bootloader development
    • Experience in implementation of secure boot solutions
    • Experience in building toolchain and kernel.
    • Buildroot or Yocto experience a plus.
    • Experience with the development lifecycle of toolchain and kernel
    • Ability to do Performance analysis/profiling
    • Familiarity with the ARM architecture, (PPC, MIPS a plus)
    • Solid understanding of a multicore environment
