We are seeking a Business Analyst intern to assist with boosting decision-making speed and accuracy by making business performance visible and easily accessible.
With the guidance of the Commercial Transformation manager, Product manager and FP&A manager, the Business Analyst intern will partner with data analysts in each of our main business locations to create and maintain business performance dashboards that will be used by local and regional management to inform decision-making.
In particular, she/he will gather and synthetize sell-out and sell-thru, inventory at retail, promotional activity, as well as revenue and profit data. She/he will analyze them in comparison with our budgetary commitments and performance forecast, with the goal of bringing highlights and deviations to the attention of local and regional management.
These analyses will be used to inform business planning processes such as the weekly sales forecast, monthly S&OP and yearly budget planning processes.
In addition, she/he will assist the Commercial Transformation manager in assessing what tools are needed to run the Direct business and making recommendation to general management. This will include facilitating the creation and roll-out of templates for management meetings and business reviews, as well as performance dashboards for pan-European account management (esp. online retail).
Finally, she/he will help build presentations about the state of the EMEA business and proposed way forward.
Through these activities, the business analyst intern will become familiar with the daily challenges and joys of managing the commercial operations of a high-tech consumer goods company in Europe. She/he will be exposed to the activities of our sales, marketing and finance functions. She/he will further hone their analytical and presentation skills and will gain valuable industry knowledge. In addition, she/he will enjoy a fun, energetic and genuinely caring work environment.
