Summary

Under the direction of the Head of Sales, the Senior Key Account Manager is responsible for a portfolio of strategic sales accounts in the Spanish territory. This includes responsibilities for achieving quarterly/annual sales goals, developing and building distribution channels, helping to build strategic business relationships and sales strategies.

This position is located in Madrid, Spain.

Essential Functions/ Job Duties

  • Collaborate with the Head of sales to develop short and long-term strategic plans, including the preparation of annual business plans and budgets. 

  • Design, implement and execution of specific Business Plans for every Key Account managed.
  • 
Develop and implement monthly, quarterly and annual sales plans and budgets for assigned Key Customers and channels. 

  • Acts like a business manager being fully conversant with financial and strategic planning tools, including profit and loss and other accounting conventions
  •  Retains overall responsible for the profit and loss and growth achieved in the KA.
  •  Allocate resources and track their performance; make adjustments as necessary to achieve the plan
  • Support the company’s growth plans with emphasis on building the brand and reputation through excellent customer service. 

  • Develop compelling solutions to client issues.
  • Develop joint strategies that are mutually beneficial to all partners within the account.

  • Responsible for forecasting / ordering product to meet customer demands / needs and outlining vs monthly, annual objectives. 

  • Conduct market research and analysis to help develop and execute promotional strategies to enhance product and brand penetration. The ideal candidate must deliver direct experience utilizing Market Report tools and Surveys (Nielsen, GFK, etc) on a regular basis. 

  • Provide continuous feedback and input on competitive analysis, market trends, and business. 

  • Monitor trends and shifts in the industry while recommending strategies and plans to keep the company positioned as a leader in the Small Home Appliances Industry.
  • Manage assigned budgets while consistently seeking revenue and cost optimization, in order to accomplish the Profit & Volume goals. 

  • Building up product range and pricing strategy addressed to achieve the specific sales objectives assigned.
  • Build and lead cross functional teams that are able to anticipate and deliver solutions to meet client requirements
  • Motivate and set task direction for team members without direct hierarchical control.
  • Involve team in the creation of the client plan. Maintain levels of motivation.
  • Build and manage internal/external relationships involving all stakeholders and influential bodies.
  • Ability to build trust in all stakeholders and influence R&D, manufacturing, logistics and admin functions.

Qualifications

  • Ideal candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sales or related field, and a minimum of 4- 5 years of direct work experience. 

  • Working experience in the Home Appliance industry preferred. 

  • Excellent command of English language, ideally bilingual. 

  • Possess the following personal qualities: natural leadership, integrity, creativity, commitment, ethical values, and results oriented. 

  • Excellent organizational, strategic, planning and implementation skills. 

  • Excellent communication skills, writing, speaking and presenting. 

  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with key business partners and 
customers. 

  • Understanding of financial reporting including forecasts and budgetary guidelines. 

  • High level of critical and logical thinking and analysis. 

  • Ability to work independently 

  • High level of personal potential, also in the mid to long term, a person genuinely 
committed with the success of the company in the future.
