    We are looking to add a talented Product Manager to join our consumer product team focused on Braava robots

     

    As a Product Manager on the Braava team, you will make history by developing robotic systems that raise the bar for consumer robotics. You will be a leader within the team – always looking for opportunities to improve the way we work and to inspire your peers. A key responsibility will be to help us grow the Braava business globally, both by maximizing customer satisfaction and ROI on Braava’s existing product line and by helping to develop new products that strategically align with the mopping category roadmap. Working closely with a cross-functional team of User Experience, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Manufacturing colleagues, you will lead the way in developing deep consumer and market insights, translating those insights to product requirements, iteratively converting product requirements into actual product, and then launching the product into the market.

    Essential Functions/ Job Duties

    • Inspire cross-functional teams to make the best possible product experience for our consumers
    • Collaborate with and influence cross-functional partners including Engineering, Program Management, Manufacturing, Sales, Customer Service, Product Marketing, and Channel Marketing to ensure alignment through all aspects of the launch and lifecycle process
    • Create and maintain Product Requirements documents for robotic systems, and then work side-by-side with cross-functional peers to convert requirements into product
    • Identify and understand cross-functional trade-offs; guiding them to conclusion collaboratively with highly technical product development teams
    • Track product sales trends, monitor online reviews, follow industry articles, and lead consumer research activities with iRobot’s panel of Braava users to synthesize high level themes that can guide future product development efforts
    • Analyze competitive product offerings to generate competitive assessments, points of differentiation, and competitive response strategies
    • As a Braava product expert, provide Braava product line information and customer insights to meet a variety of internal needs, including new product development efforts, product positioning, messaging, sales collateral, product presentations, press releases, customer service, and internal training
    • As a strong advocate for the customer, work with engineering, quality and manufacturing to understand, prioritize and resolve product quality issues on fielded products
    • Some domestic and international travel required

    Qualifications

    • 2 years of experience in technology and/or consumer products industry
    • 2 years Product Management experience with a consumer product or service
    • BS degree in engineering or robotics, with minor or coursework in marketing or business (or vice versa); MBA preferred
    • Passion for understanding consumers’ needs, behaviors, and underlying motivations
    • Ability to effectively probe and negotiate with technical counterparts on highly complex product issues, leveraging an understanding of technical trade-offs and risks
    • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment
    • Demonstrated analytical skills and proficiency in evaluating qualitative and quantitative data
    • Technical understanding of (or strong interest in) consumer electronics, robotics, and technology
    • Highly organized with superior written and verbal communication skills
