  • Summary

    We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer with an eye for security to join our security team to ensure that our cloud infrastructure is properly secured, monitored and enabled with the appropriate tools and technologies. You will join a world-class team and participate in the architecture and development of security components and technologies to protect and advance our award-winning products. More specifically, you will work with the team responsible for the overall security architecture of our cloud systems in AWS, including determining new security requirements; establishing and maintain security postures for traditional and serverless cloud designs; constructing new design patterns to advance our security footprint; and preparing security standards, policies, and processes.

    Essential Functions/ Job Duties

    • Lead and implement solutions for a wide range of challenging problems in cloud security, including ADFS-cloud integration, advanced methods of serverless infrastructure protection, methods for securing data access across and within jurisdictions, and solutions for adherence to global regulatory requirements.
    • Work with a cross-disciplinary team of similarly bright and motivated engineers.
    • Work within a supportive culture of learning, professional growth, and development.
    • Evaluate and design against advanced threats to traditional and serverless cloud infrastructure.

    Qualifications

    • Highly motivated with a wide variety of skills, curiosity, enthusiasm, and the ability to dig deep on challenging technical problems:
    • BS (or higher) in Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 7+ years of experience
    • Strong understanding of cloud systems, especially AWS technologies and services
    • Certification as a Professional or Solutions Architect (or equivalent) with AWS
    • Demonstrable ability to write clear and concise python code
    • Demonstrable ability to write and understand encryption operations in python
    • Understanding of lifecycle management of python code as Lambda functions
    • Solid understanding of common AWS security concepts, including key management infrastructure, server-side encryption, IAM and resource policies, security groups, NACLs, subnet routing, Availability Zones, WAF & CloudFront, etc.
    • Understanding of cloud development tools such as Cloud Formation, Code Pipeline, Code Deploy, etc.
    • Knowledge of advanced concepts such as AWS Organizations, Config Rules, EC2 Systems Manager, etc.
    • Familiarity with standard security processes and operations like threat modeling, penetration testing, DDoS protection mechanisms, TLS certificate lifecycle management, etc.
    • Strong desire to work independently on tasks but communicate well and often in a team environment
