Summary

We are seeking an Assistant Channel Marketing Manager for the Americas. Working closely with other marketing groups, sales and retail partners, you will develop channel sales tools, support product launches and transitions, manage channel marketing funds, calendars and activities. This position requires a dynamic individual who enjoys working in a fast paced environment. You should have a thorough understanding of what it takes to bring sophisticated consumer products to market along with retailer and distribution go-to-market strategies.   This position reports to the Director of Marketing, Americas.

Essential Functions/ Job Duties

  • Support the development and execution of channel marketing activities and programs within the Americas, including annual plans and development of operating budgets.  
  • Manage rolling 12-month marketing plan and monthly calendar by country and retailer. Ensure plans are aligned with affinity marketing programs and appropriate regional media plans.
  • Leverage brand marketing to coordinate production and execution of all regional marketing materials inclusive of merchandising, product collateral, online marketing assets, consumer demonstrations and RSP training.
  • Manage vendor relationships supporting the marketing plans in the region; which many include leading RFP processes to bring new agencies onboard to support marketing activities.
  • Close collaboration and frequent communication with the sales team and our retail partners is required.  
  • Ability to navigate internal processes and partner with finance, global marketing, operations and other departments as needed.
  • Coordinate cross-regional channel marketing programs reviews for global brand consistency and efficiencies.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience working in consumer products within North America. Preferably experience working with multiple channels of distribution: retail, catalogs, broadcast.
  • Experience with the creative development process and program execution required.  Specifically with in-store and on-line retail merchandising.
  • Exceptional communications skills with proven ability to influence and foster strong relationships with all audiences required. Frequent interaction and influence will be needed with internal departments, vendors and with retail partners.
  • Highly organized and very strong, proven project management skills. Must be able to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Proven performance creating programs and tools that pull product through channels of distribution.
  • Demonstrated ability of analyzing the performance of marketing programs.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Products - particularly Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
  • Bachelor's degree required with preferred concentration in the areas of Marketing and Business.
