The Platform Manager for Product Enabling Applications is responsible for managing the roadmap, developing solutions, managing vendors, and providing production support for iRobot’s IoT support, customer account, and feature enabling technologies such as user accounts, customer care tools, and 3rd party services. You will become familiar with the collection and distribution of user, product, and IoT data between iRobot’s various enterprise information systems, IoT solutions, and service providers. This role will be a key stakeholder in designing and implementing solutions for the customer experience.

 

This highly visible position is part of iRobot’s Information Technology department and reports to the Manger, Enabling Applications. 

 

A successful candidate will be extremely organized, will have a strong technical background, and will have experience managing the ideation, development, deployment, and support of internally developed software and customized SaaS solutions at a global scale.

Essential Functions/ Job Duties

  • Be the main point of contact for iRobot's product-enabling platforms such as IAM.
  • Collect stakeholder requirements, develop and implement solutions for the business needs.
  • Manage the platform's roadmap, documentation and operating processes.
  • Manage an extended team of technical resources who are partially allocated to support your systems.
  • Triage and resolve production support issues and implement enhancements for your platform.
  • Provide technical and business guidance & training on system features and applications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 6+ years of experience in a technology discipline.
  • Experience with Gigya or similar consumer identity management systems.
  • Experience with modern web standards and technologies (e.g. HTML5, JavaScript, etc.).
  • Experience with website, cloud, or application development environments, technologies, and cycles.
  • Experience using social media APIs.
  • Experience supporting critical production applications.
  • Exceptional Project Management, Time Management, and Organization skills.
  • Strong Interpersonal and Communication skills.
  • Familiarity with project management methods and standards (Waterfall, Agile, etc.).
  • Familiarity with relational databases.
  • Familiarity with REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Familiarity with project management & business analysis methods and standards (BABOK, PMBOK, etc.).
