The main purpose of the role is to drive sales out by designing and executing activities which will increase conversion and enable trade up in store (‘brick’ & ‘click’).

Other important objectives:

  • Maximize campaigns effectiveness by optimizing promotion plans and synchronizing ATL & BTL
  • optimize distribution & merchandizing footprint via channelization and geo targeting
  • develop & influence extended team (see interdependencies) by raising TSM agenda to the top of mind of the organization.

Role reports to EMEA Marketing Director. Scope of the role: manage direct and indirect distribution markets, 25 in total. Role will require regional travel as well as occasional travel to US HQ, up to 50-60% of time.


Essential Functions/ Job Duties

  • Be champion of EMEA shopper insights, in collaboration with global team develop and execute shopper research plans to inform how to maximize conversion in key EMEA retail customers (brick & click). Be expert on key EMEA accounts merchandising opportunities.
  • Localize global merchandising strategy by advising global team on EMEA shopper insights/ needs and EMEA retail insights (for ongoing brand presence in retail as well as new launches). Coordinate production and execution of merchandizing solutions. Do audit of own installations and benchmarking vs competition.
  • Drive e-commerce merchandising and PDPs quality, with Amazon PDPs being a priority.
  • Drive category management agenda to ensure iRobot presentation in store is line / ahead of our segment share and incorporate it into merchandising solutions.
  • As expert of EMEA retail landscape and shopper, contribute to marketing mix strategy 1-3 years out.
  • Develop and execute channelization /distribution strategies, in collaboration with product manager (EMEA & global) and distributors.
  • Contribute to annual marketing plans and activation or product launch campaigns, drive promo activation plans in direct sales and influence / consolidate promo activation plans from distributor managed territories to ensure max synergy and effectiveness of activations
  • In collaboration with product managers, develop sales pitches for new listing and with marketing managers – pitches for brand activations to ensure strong promo plans activities, listings and primary and secondary placements.
  • Develop, deploy and maintain training of own, distributor and key EMEA accounts mechanizing and in store personnel.
  • Own (track, report, optimize) in store activities ROI.
  • Manage trade / shopper marketing related agencies: selection, relationships, financial processes and reporting.
  • Actively engage with colleagues in other regions to tap into local BiC in trade/shopper marketing and re-apply where relevant.
  • Build strong relationships with end-market colleagues, global colleagues, distributor personnel and key EMEA accounts.
  • Be champion of EMEA shopper and retailer in the organization, raise TSM agenda to the top of mind, embody sell-through mentality (‘we sell or else’).



  • Strong working knowledge of at least few developed and developing EMEA markets.
  • Blue chip FMCG background preferred, with some durables experience.
  • Strong understanding of what makes shopper ‘tick’.
  • Understanding of in store communications and retail executions limitations and opportunities.
  • Good network in key EMEA retail accounts.
  • Good network in shopper agencies.
  • Min Bachelor degree, MBA preferred.
  • Fluent English is a must, command of other European languages is a plus.

  • Strong leader and engaging communicator. Can lead without ‘direct reporting line’. Has experience of working in multicultural environment.
  • Ability to make things happen. Attention to details. Good with data.
  • Ability to see big picture while having ‘hands on’ attitude.
